What your day to day life will look like...

The candidate will work on the Cloud architecture as part of the team responsible for the Cloud platform, and specifically on tasks to implement the public cloud (GCP, Azure and IBM).

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Be part of the Architecture Department’s Cloud platform team.
  • Give support to other Architecture teams with the implementation of their cloud-based projects.
  • Definition of the solution and coordination of the internal/external team involved in the development of solutions.
  • Responsible for the architecture of the solution with the modularity needed to ensure its reuse, scalability and performance.
  • Speaking with clients for the handover of requirements.
  • Searching for and assessing new technologies that allow the solution to be improved.
  • In this area, projects will be developed to implement various cloud solutions in CaixaBank.

Key skills and requirements:

  • Required Training/Education: Computer Engineering / Telecommunications,
  • Degree in Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.
  • Basics of software architecture with experience as application architect in high-availability environments.
  • Knowledge and experience in a container platform (docker, k8s, Openshift…).
  • Knowledge and experience in the different cloud providers (Google, Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud): landing zone, Storage, IaaS)
  • Knowledge and experience in IaC tools (e.g., ansible, terraform, …)

Knowledge in these areas a plus:

  • Virtualization, communications and networks.
  • Security
  • Knowledge and experience in ALM tools (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Selenium …)
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Javascript, Python…)
  • Experience in agile methodologies a plus.
  • Languages: Spoken and written English.
  • Experience: minimum 3 years’ experience as an architect, with the possibility of adapting the position to the experience provided.
