What your day to day life will look like...

Duties:

  • Be part of a team that focuses on data and ensures the design and execution of a technology strategy centred on data and advanced analytics.
  • Act as an enabler of skills and tools for the group’s data analysts and scientists.
  • Design and implement data integration and transformation processes.
  • Develop software and libraries to standardise and streamline data transformation and exploitation processes.
  • Participate in the design of solutions and collaborate in their implementation.
  • Design and create scripts for integration tasks and the constant deployment of solutions.
  • Collaborate with the technology strategy of CaixaBank Tech.
  • Document the work using proper standards, methods and tools.
  • Generate deliverables for each phase of the project using agile methodologies.
  • You will collaborate in a multidisciplinary team that, thanks to a diversity of profiles, builds platforms and architectures around the world of data.

Key skills and requirements:

  • Experience with Python, Java, and other programming languages.
  • Experience in structured SQL development (Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL, etc.
  • Knowledge of architectures of Business Intelligence systems (processes for ETL, DWH, multi-dimensional models, metadata, balanced scorecards, data wrangling, etc.)
  • Databases (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, BigTable, Oracle, etc.)
  • Knowledge of integration platforms, queue manager and real-time platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis, Flink, Spark Streaming, Apache Beam, etc.)
  • Experience with ETL/ELT data integration platforms (ODI, Powercenter, Datastage, Talend, etc.).
  • Experience with the application of data encryption and data security standards.
  • Understand the importance of security in the data life cycle and its application in Big Data and Advanced Analytics solutions.
  • Experience with meta-languages (XML, JSON, HTML, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data storage strategy and techniques (HDFS, RDBMS, Parquet, AVRO, NoSQL, etc.)
  • Practical experience in the use of techniques, methodologies for version control
  • Experience collaborating in projects to implement/evolve Big Data and Analytical architectures
  • Communication and influence
  • Languages: Spoken and written English.

Technical specialities:

  • BI products (Looker, Qlik Sense, Nprinting, Power BI, Tableau)
  • SQL Developer for ODI data modelling (Oracle Data Pool Environment)
  • Knowledge of front-end frameworks/libraries (D3, Angular, React, vue.js).
  • Back-end frameworks (NodeJS, SpringBoot, etc.)

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, SaaS)
  • Design and development in cloud environments: data orchestration, cloud storage and processing.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)
  • Knowledge of model development methodologies (DataOps, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of execution platforms (Virtualization, Dockers, K8s, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of mathematics and statistics
  • Knowledge of UNIX Shell Scripting.
  • Software testing cycle.
