What your day to day life will look like...

The candidate will join the Cloud Architecture practice and will be part of the team responsible for the Cloud platform. Specifically, tasks will focus on the implementation of public cloud solutions (GCP, Azure and IBM)

CaixaBank has a cross-functional project to migrate applications from data centres to the various public cloud providers used by CaixaBank.

Objectives of the cloud team:

  • Prepare landing zones for access to cloud providers. A landing zone includes all infrastructure and security mechanisms for cloud services (Google, Azure and IBM Cloud).
  • Standardise and provision the different cloud services to be used within CaixaBank.
  • Prepare tools associated with the cloud application lifecycle (compilation, packaging and distribution)
  • Design, install and maintain container platforms based on Kubernetes for PaaS and CaaS applications.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • You will be part of the Cloud platform team within the Architecture department.
  • You will collaborate with the team in developing different Cloud solutions for CaixaBank’s IT division.
  • Searching for and assessing new technologies that allow the solution to be improved. Implementation of proofs of concept of said technology
  • In this area, projects will be developed to implement various cloud solutions in CaixaBank.

Requirements

  • Required Training/Education: Computer Engineering / Telecommunications, Degree in Mathematics, Physics or similar.
  • Languages: Spoken and written English.
  • Communication. Committed person. Teamwork. Interested in professional development. Adaptation. Service-oriented mindset, organised and solution-focused.
  • Knowledge and experience with multiple cloud providers (Google, Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud).
  • Participation in the design, standardisation, and implementation of public cloud-based solutions, including service knowledge, security, FinOps, etc.
  • Experience in IaC for cloud infrastructure provisioning (Terraform, ARM).
  • Knowledge and experience in ALM tools (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Selenium …) a plus.
  • Experience with container platforms (Docker, k8s, OpenShift, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of agile working methodologies.
